TOUT.
Trying to find
information on the Touts of Bath area. Thomas Tout, was born, according to the
1851 census, in Bath circa 1790, he had settled in London by 1815. Have searched
the Bath parishes I have not been able to find a baptism record for him but some
of the Bath records are in a very poor state. Thomas Tout had a sister Elizabeth
Tout who married a widower John Day of Norton St Philip in Bath in the early
1800s. There was a William Tout in the Bath area at the time, it is possible he
is related. There is no clue to the parentage of Thomas and Elizabeth. It is
thought within the family that the Tout family originated in the Taunton or
Bridgwater area. Reference 1284 - note this number then click here. ... ... CHINN. Researching Chinn descended from Hinton St. Mary, Dorset, UK.
