Mid Somerset

The Mid Somerset group meets in the comfortable surroundings of the Residents' Lounge at Bluestone Court, a retirement apartment complex in Oxendale St, Street. Evening talks start at 7.30pm. As well as running an interesting programme of talks and events, members of the Group help in the Wells and Mendip Museum Library on a Wednesday morning and it was through the Museum that the group became involved in the digitization and indexing of the Phillips photographic portraits. They have been involved in identifying many of the people in the portraits. The Group also runs a Family History Help desk in Wells Library on the second Saturday of the Month.
