Library

The Society Library is housed in the Society's HQ at Sherborne. Opening times are the same as those of the Research Centre, see Home page.

The stock is divided into Somerset and Dorset and sub-divided into books and other materials. Collections of Parish Registers and much other parish material is held. Books are not loaned by post but searches and photocopies can be made. Send £2 for an initial search. Photocopy costs will be added.

The library also contains transcriptions of 90% of the Parish Records of both the Counties. Plus files containing Village clippings - articles, photographs of churches and notable buildings and other interesting documents.
