As well as its own extensive list of Publications, the Society operates a bookshop, selling books of both Local and Genealogical interest. A catalogue of the books kept in stock or those which can be ordered is available for download. The list is regularly updated and details of new additions appear in each edition of the Greenwood Tree. Sometimes books are temporarily out of stock or even out of print when you place your order. When this situation arises you will be notified. The Bookshop can be e-mailed at sdfhs@btconnect.com, but please note that, for security reasons, we cannot accept credit card payments by e-mail. (If you have problems with this, e-mail the Society and a copy will be sent as an e-mail attachment.) Please make all cheques etc. payable to Somerset and Dorset FHS. It may save time if you do not write the total amount on the cheque, but instead write on the bottom of the cheque the words "not to exceed £....". This will ensure that your order is not delayed if items are temporarily out of stock and that you do not pay more postage and packing charges than necessary on multiple orders.
